How’s My List Building Going?

Before I answer the question above, I just want to wish you all a Happy New Year. If you’re one of those Party ‘animals’ and suffering from your New Years celebrations…tough…take a pill and get over it.

Only joking, I’ve had more than my fair share of ‘over’ indulging. Anyway, the day can only get better:)

So, to answer my question..How’s my List Building going?

In a Nut-Shell…SLOW!

I know, I said after Christmas I was going to get my head down and start driving some traffic to my blog, but you know what it’s like this time of year…too many distractions.

As you will see from my Google Analytics graph below, I started doing a few "oil-rig-hops" ( a term used by Alex Jeffreys for linking to other blogs ) around December 22nd, and I did start generating some traffic. Then I went away over Christmas and did nothing and the traffic stopped.

Now with the Holidays behind us, it’s time to start testing a few things and posting the results on THIS Blog.

My first project is going to involve ‘Twitter’. I just signed up for Bob The Teachers "Discover Social Networking" course. It’s a series of Audios, Videos and Reports, that teach you how to master Twitter, Facebook and Ning.

So, I am just about to go and start the Twitter Course. Over the next few days I will be adding posts on this and updates on my Goggle Analytics. That way we can all see the results…good or bad. If they are bad, I can assure you it won’t be because of Bob’s training…it will be me, falling behind again, but hopefully that won’t happen.

    Hi Bill!

I know what you are saying about traffic being slow. I must admit mine is no where near where I would like it to be. In fact, I think on my highest day the most I have had is 48 visitors. But that being said, I am not discouraged! That is 48 more visitors than I have ever had before! When I attempted to do internet marketing before I never knew how to drive traffic so I knew this part was not going to be real easy for me. I have a very steep learning curve in this area. But with Alex’s teaching I know I am going to do it! I am determined to apply everything he tells us to do!

Have a great New Year! My wish for you is that you will achieve all your dreams and goals in 2009. :-)

    See you in the webinars!

    Beth

    Hi Bill,

It’s taking me for ever to get round everyone just to say hi, so I don’t want you to think I am being rude, but I’m turbo hopping to get round as many of the F500 that I can. If I wait for you to come to me, it might never happen. Thanks to all who have already visited Planet Valz.

This means I have a standard message for everyone, and I’m leaving it as a comment to the latest post. I hope this does not offend you as communication and generosity is what is driving this.

Firstly, my wishes to you for a Happy, Healthy and very Prosperous Year 2009.

Secondly, I want to give you a New Year present, but you need to go to http://daybydaymarketing.com/2008/12/choose-your-new-year-present/

I would appreciate being added to your blogroll if I am not already on it. I am happy to add you to mine when you come over.

    Hi Valerie

I know exactly what you’re talking about…there are a lot of students in Alex’s class and it does take time to get around and view each site…especially at this time of the year.

I appreciate your offer of the New Year present and if possible I would like the ‘Speed Reading ebook’

I added a free ebook to my blog too titled ‘Twitter Traffic Magic’ http://www.billvannot.com/free-downloads/

I will be adding more very shortly, I have access to and giveaway rights to so much software and ebooks that I don’t know what to upload first:)

Anyway, as requested I have added you to my “Students Of Alex Jeffreys” blogroll and would appreciate you adding me to yours

    Bill:)

    Hi Bill,

I’m just doing some oil-rig hopping and also notifying members of the group who may be unware, that their list of Alex Jeffreys students blogroll may result in them being dropped from from ranking in Google.

I’m written a post that explains what you need to do avoid this happening to you and still keep the blogroll.

I would appreciate you circulating this link to the other members of our group during any of your oil-rig hopping, so we are all protected, yet can still provide links to our network.

Please add me to your blogroll – I’ve already added you to mine!

I wish you Health, Happiness and Prosperity for 2009!

    To our success,

    Dave

    Hey Beth

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments:)

Beth, I wouldn’t worry to much about the lack of traffic at
this stage. We are very EARLY into the course and I know Alex has a lot more up his sleeve to pass on to us. Just keep doing what Alex tells you to do and eventually it will all fall into place.

I’m NOT new to Internet Marketing, I have been doing it for 8 years now…full time….so if there’s ever anything I can help you with, just let me know.

The part that “Is” new to me, is this Social Networking stuff, but it’s something that we all need to learn, if we want to “make” it out their. That’s why I’m taking several other Social Networking courses as well as learning from Alex.

You’re in the right place Beth, just hang on in their and enjoy the ride;)

By the way, I have added you to Alex’s Blogroll, I would appreciate you adding me to yours, if you have one.

    Happy New Year Beth

    Bill:)
