<p class="style1">There are two ways to target keywords. The first is to select a main or even a sub keyword and try to rank for that keyword. Unfortunately, high competition makes this method difficult to rank for</p>

While most parents and business owners might just consider those hats to be a necessary part of a work outfit, or a fashion statement on the Internet, specifically with Internet marketing, they have a very different meaning.</p>

<p>Knowing the<strong> differences between the &ldquo;hat&rdquo; colors </strong>and the risks you take when you chose one over the other,<u> will help keep you out of Google death, </u>as you attempt to manipulate search engines. Google has a very short tolerance for unethical practices that attempt to work around their rules.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>It is commonly agreed upon that <u>the safest techniques to follow in your marketing campaigns, are the White Hat strategies.</u> If you remember the old cowboy movies where the hero always wore the white hat, and triumphed over the bad guys who wore black hats, you will see the implied differences in hat colors.</p>

<p><strong>White Hat:</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>A marketer using white hat techniques is not malicious in intent or actual practice. They follow business practices that are considered ethical and acceptable by the industry, and do nothing that could be considered spamming others. They are not trying to find and exploit loopholes in the systems.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Grey Hat:</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Practices start veering off the benign white hat techniques when marketers start pushing the edges of legality and use somewhat shady methods to get what they want on other sites, or to get around Google&rsquo;s rules. Some of these techniques used, might be reverse engineering of copyrighted or trademarked software, or copying small sections of articles and passing them off as their own. They may have found a loophole that will be closed once Google figures out what they are doing.</p>

<p><strong>Blue Hat</strong>:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>This term is used by firms involved in computer security and refers to hackers, hired to unearth bugs in a system before it is launched. When the blue hat hackers find unprotected areas of a client&rsquo;s security, they quickly close the hole in the company&rsquo;s software or report it to the security team.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Black Hat:</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>A black hat can be a person who breaks computer security without permission, to vandalize a site, steal credit card information, steal identities or pirate another marketer&rsquo;s proprietary information or processes.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>A black hat marketer is someone who participates in illegal ways of getting better search engine rankings, including keyword stuffing, spamdexing, spam linking, scraped content and article spinning of copyrighted material, hidden website links, excessive cross-linking, etc., that is for rank gain rather than for a better user experience.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Again, it is usually better to<strong> keep your White Hat on</strong>, or you&#8217;ll always be looking over your shoulder for the Google police. If you&#8217;re wearing a Black Hat, you may find yourself with a spike in results, but it won&#8217;t last and is not a steady income you can count on.</p>

<p>Are one of the online entrepreneurs whose niche members are mostly women in the 17-34 age range? There are many other highly unique factors about this group, but although everyone will tell you it&#8217;s too broad and generic a metric to matter, gender is an important piece of your marketing puzzle &#8211; especially when it comes to psychometrics (measuring how people think and perceive).</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve heard, here and there, that one has to copywrite differently to reach women. Well, the same goes with advertising. That&#8217;s why social media should be one of the first venues you think about, if the female gender makes up the majority of your subscribers, or target market.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Social media is the perfect vehicle for communicating with this particular demographic. Women are the largest demographic on social media generally &#8211; especially on Facebook. To a majority of women, even business communication is relationship-driven at the core. If a female subscriber or viewer trusts you, they&#8217;re more likely to listen &#8211; and buy. And one way to build trust is to concentrate on that personal, one-on-one, real-time connection provided by social media platforms.</p>

<p>Of course, the problem is that you can&#8217;t really write long letters to each one &#8211; there just isn&#8217;t the time, and you&#8217;d end up working for free! But you can immediately connect on an emotional level by answering their tweets on Twitter, interacting with them on forums and hanging out with them on social networks. And you don&#8217;t have to spend hours at it either (though that is easy enough to do!) Just a little interaction a day&#8230; and then, once you&#8217;ve established the connection (or built your cleverly optimized Facebook Page) you can let your social media advertising take over some of that time load.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s particularly important to think sympathetically, in order to engage your female readers with your social network ads. If you can make them identify, feel or laugh&#8230; and if you can entertain and amuse them enough to click on your ad&#8230; you&#8217;ll have, in one go, vaulted past the multitude of slick, high-powered ads produced by professionals, who have forgotten that important &quot;relationship and connection&quot; factor.</p>

<p>One tip to help you write your social media ads: Men are more likely to be attracted to left-brain &quot;logic&quot; words relating to statistics, measurements and of course the competitive macho factor. While lots of women are also quite capable of being macho and competitive, results seem to indicate that they prefer more intuitive communication, in words that relate to &quot;feeling&quot;. A man is more likely to perk up his ears at: &quot;Does your car impress your friends?&quot;: A woman is more likely to respond on an empathetic level to: &quot;Do you feel tired?&quot;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Connect strongly enough, and if you&#8217;re also hoping to brand yourself, your event or your business, you&#8217;ll easily succeed. A case in point: Canada&#8217;s Lilith Fair, started by musician Sarah McLachlan and friends, and once regarded as a quirky chick thing. It&#8217;s now acknowledged as a major cultural annual event, and most women on Canadian Facebook who see Lilith Fair&#8217;s plain ad know instantly what it&#8217;s about, just from the word &quot;Lilith&quot; alone.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span class="style1">Of course, everyone is unique &#8211; but statistics do seem to side with the &quot;relationship/intuitive/feeling&quot; approach, when it comes to women. The real moral is: Be sensitive to your readers&#8217; preferred communication styles and your social media ads will help your business grow much more rapidly.</span></p>

<p>Have you ever thought about <strong>Advertising</strong> in the same breath as<strong> Social Media?<br />

        It&#8217;s important to pick a Social Media site that is perfectly aligned to your business niche &ndash; nobody would most likely argue with that!</p>

        But unless you&#8217;re Meryl Streep, you can&#8217;t fake interest in a niche you&#8217;re not passionate about yourself.</p>

        But on the other hand, if you&#8217;re too passionate about it, it&#8217;s easy to make some fatal mistakes&#8230; such as sharing too much information for free, or assuming that because you like teen Vampire novels, everyone in your niche will too. A lot of marketers have turned off more customers than they know, by sharing &#8216;Too Much&#8217; Information about their personal lives.</p>

        If you&#8217;ve been in marketing even for a fairly short length of time, you most likely DO know quite a lot about the right balance to strike, with your niche&#8230;and whether or not you&#8217;re bored to tears by the niche you&#8217;ve chosen.</p>

        What you may not know, however, is that it&#8217;s possible to become passionate about a niche, if you genuinely see opportunities for helping people in some sort of need (even if this &ldquo;need&rdquo; is for a frivolous and fun subject). And Social Networks are all about sharing, community and interactivity.</p>

        They are different in many ways, however, from traditional static websites, and even from web 2.0 blogs&#8230;and it&#8217;s important to understand the online &ldquo;culture&rdquo; of each site (as well as its demographic).</p>
