Ever wonder how they got so instantly recognizable? Are they really something so special, or have we been led to believe they are? How come, when we see their ads a couple of times we’re ready to pull out our wallets, whether or not we need what they’re pushing at the time? It’s called Repetitive Advertising, my friends and there’s little else that’s as powerfully persuasive.

Those of us who have been on the Net, forget that we use terms that may be unfamiliar to newcomers. Then, again, we need our occasional reminders too, don’t we?

One of those terms is Repetitive Advertising.

It sounds like something one would instantly grasp but I can remember being new to the advertising/marketing arena, reading or hearing about it and wondering just exactly what it was – and why it seemed so important.

What a lesson learned!

NOTHING is as important or impactful as Repetitive Advertising, but let’s make it even easier to understand.

How many commercials do you see in a day, or a week? How many of them are the same? How often are those same ones run?

By the time you’ve seen the commercials a good six, seven times, how often do you feel that you really need to purchase that product or go to that restaurant or whatever else.

That’s the sheer power of Repetitive Advertising. The same tactics go for radio and newspaper or any other media that keeps things ‘in your face’.

The more you see something, the more you feel compelled to make it part of your household or on your menu.

Repetitive Advertising has often been labeled as subliminal hypnosis and it makes perfect sense. Those commercials being run one after another, are like incessant whispers, ‘buy me …buy me…buy me’ and before long, we’re hooked!

This is why you are constantly advised to advertise daily and consistently. You want everyone to know who you are and what you offer.

We don’t have the thousands or millions of dollars that corporations can spend on this kind of advertising, but the Net offers us many opportunities to keep up our own advertising on the same kind of basis.

Those that advertise most make the lion’s share of the money. Familiarity breeds recognition and half the battle of Net Success is that everyone knows your name!

What are Forums?

Forums are discussions boards where people congregate on the internet to chat with, share ideas, etc., with people who have similar interests. Forums can be found on just about any subject imaginable, and some you would not!

If you wish to find people interested in a particular subject fourms are an ideal way of finding them.

If you have a business in a particular field, joining forums related to that is a good way to get your word out to a targetted market.

Finding Forums:

Finding forums is usually as easy as doing a search on the main search engines. This will bring up way more than you will need, but to make your time worthwhile, search out the most popular forums for the subject you are interested in. Those with the largest, regular user, memberships, will give your postings the most exposure.

There are guidelines to be followed to stay in the good graces of the moderators and other users of most forums. It is strongly advised that you read through the rules and guidelines provided for any forum before you join. Find out what their rules are regarding advertising, signature files, etc. to make sure it is worth your while joining.

Once you have found a forum (or forums) which you feel suit your purpose, you will have to register. This is usually easy to do and takes a couple of minutes.

Simply joining a forum and then placing blatant adverts will get you barred swiftly from the majority of forums. However, if you follow a few simple steps you can enjoy the company on the forum and at the same time do a little subtle advertising, which can be very effective.

Your first post should introduce yourself. You are joining a community after all, be polite. Stay on subject in your postings, do not start posting about something completely different. Follow the flow of posts. Either ask intellegent questions about the subject being discussed, offer a valid comment or even answer a question if you can.

In other words, begin to fit in with the community and build a presence within the group. Once others see that you respect their group, and want to fit in with its values, etc., you will be accepted and they will want to know more about you. This is when your membership of forums really begins to pay dividends.

Never blatantly advertise. Many forums allow what is called a signature file which is usually one or two lines which appear at the bottom of any posting you make. Again check what exactly each forum does or does not allow.

Make your signature file interesting, but short. Use a catchy message, usually with only one, or at most two links. If allowed use colours and/ or bold lettering to attract attention. Changing the signature file regularly also attracts attention.

By taking it slowly, and becoming a respected member of the forum, you will find that other forum members will begin to pay attention to your postings, and your signature file. Your postings will build your reputation as knowledgeable on the subject, and they will want to see what you are doing and offering through your links.

Although it may take a little time to establish yourself in a forum, by posting regularly you can fairly quickly become known and accepted and see the results of your efforts.

Private Label Rights (PLR) content allows you to re-use that content as your own. Generally, you can use it as is, you can re-write it, you can sell it or you can give it away.

There are so many ways to use PLR content to build your business. You can use them for writing tips, reports, articles, e-books….

PLR articles are a quick and easy way to add content to your website or blog. Change the title, add your name and your own links, include a picture or screenshot and… you have some new content to use as you wish.

You could also take a few PLR articles on the same theme or topic and use the information to create a new article, or re-write each article and compile them into an e-book or mini course.

Once you have re-written your PLR articles you can even submit them to article directories.

But don’t stop there…

You can also create audio products, video products and physical products.

The new products you create can be given away to build your list or as front end products to promote a back end products.

Use PLR content as the starting point for creating a more in-depth product. Do some research and add more information.
