The Right Approach to Blog Commenting!
|
If you’re interested in commenting on blogs, as a way to gain traffic for your site, you have to have the right mindset. Far too many people start leaving comments blindly on DoFollow blogs, hoping that the backlinks will help. Their mistake is that they fail to leave high quality, memorable comments. Instead, they post generic comments like "click here for more information", hoping that the blog’s readers will click through to their site. The correct approach to blog commenting, however, is to look it as a gradual process of building a brand. By leaving consistent, quality comments on a variety of blogs in your niche, you’re establishing yourself as an expert in your field. Slow and steady link building is far more effective than a quick blast, so add these links over time for the best results. Look at link building as a regular habit to get into – not a one time deal. To begin with, take some time to plan out your brand. Pick an avatar or logo that represents your niche and what you’re trying to do. Use your real name or choose a believable pen name – avoid cutesy screen names or anonymous letter/number combinations. You want the blogs’ other readers to recognize you as a real person – someone that they can identify with. Next, start reading blogs in your niche. Don’t just skim the latest post and attempt to comment. Instead, take time to really learn about the blogger and their mission. By immersing yourself in the niche in this manner, you’re setting yourself up for success. You’re establishing yourself as an expert in the niche, and you’re working at developing slow, gradual traffic. A great tool to find blogs in your niche is ‘Comment Hut‘ and you can download the LITE version for free. Finally, focus on the quality of your comments. Your goal is to make an interesting point, expand on an idea, or contribute to the discussion. You won’t do this with one-liners such as "Nice post, thanks!". Instead, spend some time on each comment. Make them interesting and relevant to the discussion – your goal is to convince the other visitors to the blog that you have something interesting to say – something worth clicking over to your site to learn more about. Remember, your goal isn’t to steal the existing blogs readers – it’s to get them to add your bog to their feedreader right beside it. By building a brand, learning about the niche, and focusing on comment quality, you’re well on your way. ————- Need more tips on how to turn your website or blog in to a ‘Link Magnet’? Hi David
It’s a work in progress, but I am slowly getting it to how I want it to look. More importantly Is the content, if that’s no good it doesn’t matter what the site looks like.
I do write a lot of my own articles, but when time is short I hire a ghost writer, which is very cheap.
Let me know what it is you need help with and I’ll see what I can do to help
Bill:)
