A Look At Article Marketing
|
Article marketing has been around for some time. It has not changed drastically over time, although there have been many attempted changes, some successful and some not.
One particular attempt was the introduction of software to automate the submission process of articles. Although it quickened up the submission process, most top Article Directories, etc., correctly realized that this would eventually make article marketing a thing of the past, and now block and reject articles submitted that way. Software has also appeared to help with the writing of articles. While some of these can be helpful to a degree, writing skill is still required of the author. Of course, not everyone is a great writer, with or without software assistance. If you feel you really cannot write your own articles, it is perfectly acceptable to hire a good ghostwriter. No one will know that you did not write the articles yourself, and you end up with articles that do what you wanted of them. Hiring a ghostwriter need not be too expensive. Prospective writers are usually hired to write several articles to begin with, to see how they do, and if their work is liked, people tend to stay with the same writer long-term. Due to the sale of article directory scripts, numerous new article repositories have opened in the last few years. Owning and running an Article Directory can be lucrative. People visit your site to submit their articles, and while they are their, they are exposed to the other items on the site, adsense and other ads etc. Also since they have registered on your site, you are able to send them emails. The owner of the Directory can monetize the site in various ways, for example as already mentioned, with Adsense ads on each of the article pages, banners etc. This does not affect the article writer in any way, but can make the site owner an additional income. In order to do this however, the site must be promoted to attract both writers and people looking for articles. For the writer, submitting articles to new sites may not be greatly beneficial in the early days of the site, but once it has become popular, the writers will benefit. Most of the best Directories still manually screen and check the articles submitted to their sites. There are still people who will try to submit articles which are little more than sales letters. Most sites will remove these types of articles when found. Likewise, occasionally someone may try to submit copied articles. They have taken someone else’s article, and replaced the original author’s details with their own. Once the legal ramifications are pointed out to the ‘new author’ the article is usually withdrawn. No matter what new concepts, software, etc., come into being, one element of article marketing remains constant. Successful article marketers need to submit articles which help, educate, and inform their reader. In that way, they will always be successful at article marketing @ 2009 AdMistress.com All Rights Reserved
